Cabo da Roca
Whilst in Portugal you shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit Europe's most westernly point. Situated at 38º 47' North latitude, 9º 30' West longitude and towering over 140 metres above sea level, Cabo da Roca is only a 20 minute drive from the cottages or half a day's amazingly stunning walk over the cliff tops. Click here for some views of this walk.
This point offers interesting fauna and flora, being home to some unique species.
Wild and rugged, designed by nature's strength, the place is uninhabited apart from a cafe/restaurant and a small tourism office where you can buy a certificate stating where you've just been!
