Casa da Bia - Review 7
Casa da Bia – Review 7

“Thank you Casa da Bia !  (and Ralph & Ana) for a lovely three weeks of time.
The place worked like a charm: all relaxed and tanned 🙂
The beaches and hiking trails were excellent, it was totally worth the time and effort to hike all the way to Cabo do Roca along the coast line, Sintra with it’s palaces was also a very beautiful place to take a day stroll. Of all the lovely seafood restaurants, we strongly recommend the cozy home cookings of Cafe das Patricias, lovely spot.
We would like to thank Ralph and Ana for all the hospitality and care taking.”

Casa da Bia – Review 6

“Hi there Ana and Ralph,
Big thanks for a brilliant week at your cottage in Praia das Macas.
The accommodation was first class and the children loved the beach and the swimming pool as well as the trip on the old tram to Sintra.
The shops and child friendly restaurants of Praia das Macas made the holiday very relaxed and your transfer service took all the stress out of getting to and from the Airport. Just brilliant!”

Really enjoyed the area and the cottage

“First we had a great time with you and really enjoyed the area and the cottage. The cottage was very well appointed and convenient to the beach and local facilities.
We were impressed with Praia das Maçãs which we found to be family friendly and it was less commercial then others areas locally which we also liked and appreciated.
Eating out was not expensive and there was plenty of choice in the village. If we didn’t want to dress for dinner that wasn’t a problem either. Lots of choice for the children and grown ups on the menu as well. Equally the local take away serviced really excellent food as well.
There was plenty to do in the area for all tastes as well. Sintra is a must (tunnels and floating books most especially) but there are also many other interesting places to visit as well.”

We loved Casa da Bia

“We loved our visit to Praia das Maçãs and particularly our stay at Casa da Bia. Thank you Ralph for meeting us at the airport and again the next day and for giving us so many helpful tips on places to eat, castles to visit and directions as well as a ‘Welcome’ basket of wonderful local products. We loved Casa da Bia. It was very comfortable and provided everything we would need for our visit… We highly recommend these cottages and this area. We visited Sintra and took the train to Lisbon another day. The children enjoyed personalisecd surfing lessons at the local surf school and now have the ‘surf bug’ . There is so much to see and do in this area for all the family. Ralph and Ana you are both very professional and personable, thank you for everything and we hope to be back.”

“Arrived back safely to gales and rain. We all had a fantastic holiday, thanks very much for all your input, the jam was superb. Also thanks for the guided bike ride, it was great not to get a puncture for a change. What a fantastic restaurant, can’t remember the name but it would be worth going back just to go there again. Good luck for next season and we may see you again.”

The cottage was just as we imagined

“The cottage was just as we imagined and just as described on the web site. Very clean and comfortable and in an ideal position for the beach, restaurants and local shop. The garden was perfect for lazy breakfasts, lunches and barbeques. It was great to have lots of tips from Ralph of where to eat, what to visit in Sintra and how to get to places. All of his advice worked out really well. When visiting palaces etc in Sintra it pays to be early if you want to park .Lisbon was amazing and really easy to get to on the train – we went twice in order to fit in everything we wanted to do – remember to buy a special travel ticket to get the most out of the trams and metro for longer journeys e.g. to Belém.
Many thanks Ralph for taking the time to explain the area to us and for recommending the restaurants – don’t think I will have too much fish for a while!”
