“Hi Ralph, The villa is amazing – it’s like living in a castle !
We cycled up the cliffs and all the way to Sintra. And all the way though the forest, every time I thought we couldn’t go “up” anymore we cycled higher ! Almost to the clouds LOL.”

The kitchen is great, full of everything we could need which came in handy with 12 people to feed.
The front garden is beautiful with it’s lovely tree’s and plants.
But staying in your villa really saved our week. We’d just like to say it’s truly “Magnifique”

‘Perfectly kitted out holiday house, especially X 2 dishwashers’ – David.

‘Bodyboarding down the river on the beach – by the furthest rocks’ . Kirsty + Harry, age 6.

‘The big Milk’ – you can actually buy ice creams for under a euro! – Benny, age 2.

‘Nearly going underwater’ – Betsy, age 5.

‘The tram’ – to Sintra – Justin, age 42 (and feeling it)

‘Discovering the secret sea water lido in Azenhas do Mar – walked there (kids pace) in around 45 mins, took 441 bus back. Wished we’d stayed for lunch – dinner at the restaurant overlooking lido & ocean’ – Kirsty.

‘The surfing competition at Praia Grande and the hair raising walk over the rocks to get there – Kirsty again, over to someone else.

‘The tram + tunnels’ – Max, age 3.”

“Great holiday with friends. Fab place to relax and unwind without having to travel far for anything. Spent most of our time by the pool + terrace eating delicious local seafood.

“The villa is perfect for our large family, young and old alike were thrilled with the pool, comfortable bedrooms and the very well equipped and inviting kitchen.
The area is splendid, we have really enjoyed the wonderful palaces of Sintra, Lisbon’s charm and how nice the Portuguese are.

“We arrived from South Wales and Scotland
In a hire car, a taxi and van,
To allocate rooms
And dive in the pool
Was the total extent of our plan.

From the terrace we soaked in the view
And a sky of a luminous blue,
The soft sun was setting
Da yawn, we were getting
A whole week with nothing to do!

Dissent in the ranks! and dismay!
The kids want to enjoy their first day,
But it’s tram up to Sintra
Too hot !! Back in the villa,
Relax with a bottle of rose.

That sea! We just had to surf it.
Well at 16 euros it was worth it.
You have got to be brave
To be dumped in the waves
But the aches… do you think we deserved it ?

The kids made a momentious decision,
To design a sports competition,
There was ping-pong and boules,
Events in the pool
And for grown ups, nice chairs to sit on.

A fab week on a beautiful coast
Can’t decide what we enjoyed the most.
The pool of the peace?
Wi-fi or the beach?

Great week away celebrating 70th + 40th birthdays. Loved the villa, location + super tasty seafood (Nortada gets my vote for the best). Kids had a great time (as did us kids…Making a Zombie movie freaking as a holiday first for me! )

Was an amazing week ~ What a fantastic Villa ! Weather was sunny and warm + the sun terrace was great. We will defiantly be back!
