“When Ralph showed us round there had been improvement which the website did not show. The Sundeck area was a delight – We did a lot of lounging about but the bus to Sintra is on time & Regular.

Bars are cheap as are the restaurants – If you want a friendly welcome just pop over the road to the tatty blue building (bar) 100 yards up by the tram line. – Thank you for a lovely place to stay”

“Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome from Ralph and indeed everyone we met during our stay in Casal de Santa Maria, which is located very near to the beautiful little town of Praia das Maçãs. Getting the airport transfer meant that we got our bearings straight away and knew where the local shops and restaurants were, and how to take advantage of the nearby bus service to take us into the heart of the stunning city of Sintra. From here it is easy to get the train into Lisbon.
The villa was immaculate, situated in a secure and secluded area with it’s own pool and all mod cons. It has been sensitively refurbished to a high standard using marble, terracotta and cedarwood throughout and even underfloor heating!
The weather, especially for march, was all we could have wished for, allowing for leisurely walks during the day and long evenings out on the private verandah.
We will definitely be returning here, and would highly recommend it to all of our friends.”

Just to let you know we are all safely back. We really enjoyed our stay at your Villa. We rented in France and Italy and this was the best….the pool, the playthings, the proximity of activities and the village, restaurants etc. The accommodations such as the linen, the cutlery,etc were all well supplied., and yes we did not need a car. We enjoyed the buses and the taxis. Thanks again.”

“Thank you SO much for our fantastic holiday – it really was the best holiday that Mike and I have ever had. The villa is gorgeous and extremely well looked after, and Praia da Maçãs was stunning and so much to do in Sintra! We are thinking of ways we could go back ‘cos one week just wasn’t enough. “4 families – 14 people – great time had by all – best restaurant Nautilus, surfing lesson a must, Simon & Karen are great – tram to Sintra, bus to Cascais, lovely beaches big waves, pool great & table tennis. Great location with lots to do for all ages, limited nightlife for older teenagers, although they could have travelled to Cascais or Lisbon. A week was not enough really.”

“What a fantastic house. We have enjoyed a glorious 2 week stay. All restaurants were good, particularly 1888, Nautilus and Sabores (across the road with 20% off voucher!). Delicious seafood & fish. Sintra & Lisbon are obvious choices to visit but well worth the trip. It was an added bonus to have the luxury of contacting Ralph at any time for help and advice, no matter how trivial – THANK YOU!!! We would definitely recommend Lisbon Coast Cottages”

“Thanks for wonderful days in your house. Ten crazy Norwegians have lived here in connection with the Motor GP race in Estoril. We had good days at the pool and enjoy us in the house at night.
We also have taken trips to Cascais and Lisboa. We rent a car to travel around, and we took the old train to Sintra. The seafood tasted well, and people are nice. We also have taken bath in the Atlantic. We are Vikings from the west coast of Norway you know.”
