“We loved our visit to Praia das Maçãs and particularly our stay at Casa da Bia. Thank you Ralph for meeting us at the airport and again the next day and for giving us so many helpful tips on places to eat, castles to visit and directions as well as a ‘Welcome’ basket of wonderful local products. We loved Casa da Bia. It was very comfortable and provided everything we would need for our visit… We highly recommend these cottages and this area. We visited Sintra and took the train to Lisbon another day. The children enjoyed personalisecd surfing lessons at the local surf school and now have the ‘surf bug’ . There is so much to see and do in this area for all the family. Ralph and Ana you are both very professional and personable, thank you for everything and we hope to be back.”

“Thank you Ralph and Ana for a wonderful stay in Villa Arcos in July. The two weeks just flew by. We loved everything about the village and the cottage which was very peaceful and quiet and made for relaxation. Everything was within walking distance, beach, pool, bars and restaurants. We had some wonderful meals but by far the best was in Adega so thank you Ralph for the recommendation. The bus service is great and we spent many days exploring Sintra (which we fell in love with) and also had a day trip to Lisbon by train where we went on a tram tour out to Belem. The cottage was lovely, very clean and comfortable and we loved having breakfast in the courtyard while we planned our day. You both run a very professional business with a great personal touch and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend you (have been doing so to everyone we talk to). We will definitely be back.”

“4 families – 14 people – great time had by all – best restaurant Nautilus, surfing lesson a must, Simon & Karen are great – tram to Sintra, bus to Cascais, lovely beaches big waves, pool great & table tennis. Great location with lots to do for all ages, limited nightlife for older teenagers, although they could have travelled to Cascais or Lisbon. A week was not enough really.”

“What a fantastic house. We have enjoyed a glorious 2 week stay. All restaurants were good, particularly 1888, Nautilus and Sabores (across the road with 20% off voucher!). Delicious seafood & fish. Sintra & Lisbon are obvious choices to visit but well worth the trip. “We had a fantastic and incredibly restful holiday and as we had only a week and already knew the village, we were able to make the most of our time. You both made the week so much better for us in sorting out the bikes, taxi and airport pick up and drop off. All those things really mattered. Couldn’t believe how lucky we were with seeing the procession too on our last afternoon. The rides to and from Sintra on the tram just epitomised to us what a leisurely time we were having!”
